Award-winning director John Helde got his start with the New York documentary-makers Maysles Films, and as a film editor worked with such notable directors and producers as Alan Rudolph (Afterglow), Robert Altman (The Player), Steve James (Hoop Dreams), Julia Sweeney (God Said Ha!) and Chris Eyre (Smoke Signals). John founded Try This Films LLC, the company that has served as a base for his corporate and brand work for clients such as Alaska Airlines, WongDoody, Hornall Anderson, Committee For Children and more. John’s award-winning films have played festivals around the world. HELLO, starring Eric Stoltz and Susanna Thompson, won the IFP Spotlight Award production grant and the CSA Artios Award for Best Short Film Casting. Rachael Ellison-Taylor, a producer and account manager, started her career in agency public relations, working for notable agencies Ogilvy & Mather and The Rockey Company. She moved into production in the ‘90s and has worked as production manager, senior video producer, and content producer for production companies in Seattle and in the UK. Her clients have included international blue chips such as GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca and Halifax Bank of Scotland, as well as top local companies Wong Doody, Hornall Anderson, Alaska Airlines, Boeing, Safeco, Microsoft and PopCap Games. Rachael also worked on WBGH-Boston’s national television series “Rx for Survival”, and produced a cooking show pilot filmed in France. Her non-profit work includes projects for children's charities Committee for Children, Partners for our Children and Ronald McDonald House. She brings her background in marketing and communications to every project, providing added value to her clients.
